Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern participation in the Little Leopards after school provision (“LL”). By enrolling in LL, parents/guardians and participants (“you” or “your”) agree to abide by these terms.
1. General Information
LL is organised by the Jersey College for Girls Foundation (“The Foundation”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) and aims to provide a high-quality consistent and reliable service where every child is safe and happy in a club where the environment is supportive, encouraging, nurturing and where they can relax and have fun.
LL is open to children from reception to Year 6 at JCP and runs from the end of the school day to 5.30pm term time only.
LL is not open and for the avoidance of doubt no refund will be given for:
- the last day of the autumn term,
- the day of the Summer Fayre,
- Open Days
- Inset Days
The Foundation will promote appropriate standards of behaviour, discipline and hygiene. You must adhere to all rules, policies, and procedures outlined in this document and communicated during LL and by enrolling you agree to abide by these terms.
2. Code of Conduct
You must agree to the following:
- Sign your children in with a LL member of staff in JCG reception and sign them out in the same manner at the end of the day
- Late collection will result in a fee of £10 for each quarter of an hour or part thereof, during which your child remains in our care after LL finishes at 5.30pm
- Notify us as soon as reasonably practicable if your child is not going to attend
- Not bring a child to LL if it is unwell
- Inform the Foundation immediately in writing of any change in contact details or family situations, Court Orders or situations of risk in relation to the child for which any special precautions may be needed
- Treat other children, staff and property with respect, and following instructions given by us
- Refrain from engaging in bullying, harassment, or inappropriate or rude behaviour to other children and staff
- Instil the importance of good behaviour during LL A
- ccept that the Foundation is not to be held responsible for any damage or loss to clothing or other personal belongings brought to LL
Any breach of the Code of Conduct may result in:
- Warnings issued to you and/or your child
- Where we decide that your child’s continued presence is incompatible with the interests of LL, or if a parent is consistently rude to staff, you will be immediately removed from the programme without a refund, at our sole discretion and subject to the terms of Clause 4.
3. Registration and Payment of Fees
You will be asked to tick a box to agree to these terms and conditions and will be sent a link to follow to complete a registration form.
On submission of a registration form and having ticked the box, you will be advised by email from the Foundation that access to the booking system has been made available. This will happen only when a space has become available.
Completion of a registration form does not guarantee a space on LL. All fees must be paid in full prior to the start date of LL and according to the provisions of Clause 4.
- If fees are not paid within 30 days of the date the invoice was sent, we reserve the right to charge a late payment penalty of £50 or 10% of the outstanding balance, whichever is the greater.
- Partial payments or instalment arrangements are only permitted with prior approval, and at our discretion.
- Fees include course fees and snacks
- In relation to international students any flights, insurance both medical and otherwise, and any other additional requirements must be borne by you
- No refund will be given for sessions only partially attended or if a child leaves before or arrives after food is provided
- No refund will be given in the event of absence or sickness
4. Cancellation and Refund Policy
A child will automatically leave LL when he/she leaves JCP.
Written notice must be given in all cases at least 30 days before the end of the relevant term to cancel a child’s space at LL (“Proper Notice”). If Proper Notice is not given, then you will be liable for the following half term, despite notice having been given.
Where Proper Notice is given, no refund will be given for the remainder of the term, unless that space can be reallocated to another student. In the event of reallocation, a refund will be provided from the date the replacement student starts. Whilst the Foundation will try to reallocate such spaces, no reallocation will be guaranteed, as it depends on there being a replacement child ready to start on the allocated day.
No refund will be provided if your child is removed from LL due to a breach of the Code of Conduct or failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions.
You are liable for the full cost incurred and for making the necessary arrangements where you have breached the Code of Conduct and have had to be immediately removed.
Persistent lateness will result in the place being withdrawn.
5. Health and Safety
You authorise the Foundation to take all necessary action to safeguard and promote your child’s welfare and consent to use of such physical contact as may be lawful, appropriate and proper to provide comfort to a child in distress or to maintain safety and good order.
