Meet our Governors
JCG governors are ambassadors for the school and what we do. They support and monitor the governance of the College.

A JCG old girl, Karen is the MD of ITV Channel Television and has a daughter and an older son who were educated at JCG and VCJ. Karen joined the Board in 2004 and is a member of the Admissions Sub-Committee.
Angel investor and Calligo founder, Julian joined the Board in 2016, bringing with him an in-depth knowledge of operations streamlining and tech startups, having co-founded venture capital backed Virtustream Inc. which sold for $1.2bn in May 2015. Julian works with Digital Jersey as well as several local school and businesses, assisting with technology roadmaps.
Dr. Bryony Perchard
A GP, Bryony joined the Board in 2014 and her daughter currently attends JCG. Bryony has strong experience in clinical and financial governance, staffing, performance management and safeguarding. She chairs the Standards Sub-Committee and is a member of the Safeguarding Sub-Committee.
Catherine is the Headteacher at St Saviour’s & St Olave’s School in London, part of the Southwark Schools’ Learning Partnership. Catherine joined the Board in 2019 and sits on the Standards Sub-Committee.
Ed is the MD/Owner of Channel Islands Design and Digital Business, Potting Shed. A creative expert with many years’ experience, Ed represents these skills on the Board, including the Wellbeing and Standards Sub-Committees.
With 15 years’ experience in corporate law, James is a partner in the Jersey office of offshore law firm, Carey Olsen. Following stints in London, Bratislava, Singapore and Birmingham, he advises clients on large, high-profile international transactions and local matters. James joined the Board in 2019 and sits on the Governance, Wellbeing and Finance & Property Sub-Committees and his older daughter attends JCG.
Kirstie is an Emergency Medicine Doctor at the General Hospital. She joined the Governing Body in 2018 and chairs the Wellbeing Sub-Committee. Kirstie also sits on the Admissions Sub-Committee.
Louise, a Chartered Director and fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England, is a Director of the Channel Islands Competition and Regulatory Authorities. She is responsible for economic regulation of Jersey telecoms, ports and postal sectors, as well as the enforcement of competition law. Louise joined the Board in 2017 and sits on the Finance and Property Sub-Committee. She has a daughter at JCG.
Rae joined the Board in XXXX, having recently retired as a Director, after a 30-year career in Executive Search with Russell Reynolds Associates. Prior to this Rae was Vice President, Consumer Markets with Pacific Bell, the California phone company, responsible for 13,000 staff that handled one billion customer transactions annually through call centres and retail outlets.
Cedric is a business advisor with over 20 years’ experience working in a variety of commercial and voluntary roles including business and product development. He is an investor in a local start-up enterprise and works at Jersey Business, advising owner managers on how to make better decisions and improve their overall business outcomes. Educated at VCJ, Cedric’s daughter attends JCG. He joined the Board in 2018.
A Director of Mourant Governance Services, Ed and has worked in strategy, IT, change programmes and operational roles. Previously, Ed worked for PwC Europe and competed in the Clipper Round the World Yacht race. Ed’s daughters attend JCP and JCG. Ed joined the board of Governors in 2019 and sits on the Finance & Property Sub-Committee, the Admissions Committee and the JCG Foundation.
Educated at VCJ, and then the University of Oxford, Simon is Head of Sixth Form at JCG. His passion and experience lies in English language and modern literature. Simon joined the Board of Governors in June 2018.
