Uniform

News

It has been some time since I talked about the changes to uniform from September 2022. Progress is ongoing, albeit rather slow due to supply chain issues, however we have been assured that the new elements of the uniform will be ready in time for the new school year.

We are delighted with the new styles of the different items, which are so much more contemporary, and most of which will be the same across both JCP and JCG – so no need for the girls to buy all new from Year 6 to Year 7! We are looking to send you a full uniform list, with photos, etc., by the end of this term, before the Easter break.

In the meantime, please let me reassure you that:

• We will be operating a gradual changeover of items – so you only need to change to new items once the old ones no longer fit or need replacing or if you are new to the school from September

• There are quite a number of items that will, in effect, be the same as the current uniform

• The vast majority of items are no more expensive than our existing uniform – which is something we insisted upon with our suppliers – and will be able to be ordered online.

• The uniform suppliers will also provide all the extras such as book bags, backpacks, etc.

• We will be looking to collect all the old uniform and donate directly to a worthwhile cause – none of it will be just thrown away.

Finally, having asked for expressions of interest as to who would like to be considered as official suppliers of the new uniform and after a fair and comprehensive process, I can inform you that both JSSK and Lyndale Sport will be the official suppliers of the new uniform. Unfortunately, Redvers, who used to supply some of the JCP items, will no longer be a supplier to either school from September. In the meantime, Redvers have asked me to pass on the offer of 50% reduction on all existing items of the current uniform in stock.
