Easter Challenge

News

Thank you to everybody who took part in the JCP Easter challenge. It has been amazing to see so many children and families enjoying being active together whilst enjoying our beautiful island.

As a school, our aim was to walk, run or cycle 2,000km over the Easter holidays. I am pleased to announce that we absolutely smashed that target and actually walked, ran & cycled 4,769km! This is absolutely outstanding, well done to all that took part.

The winners of the reception competition were Mrs Crute's class, who completed 355km - well done. The winners of the House competition for Years 1-6 were Grandin, who completed 1,109km and gained 188 House points - well done. There were some incredible efforts from all involved from Reception (eg Alba – 69km) to Year 6 (Safiya & Lucy – 180km each). The staff also got involved with Miss Cummins topping the board (150km) and even Mr Sugden, with his dodgy knees (96km). What a brilliant whole school community effort!
