Religious Education
The aim is to enhance a pupil’s spiritual and moral development, and study will usually focus on Christianity and one other religion.
In Key Stage 1 children will learn about important religious places and events. They will also be encouraged to develop a positive attitude to other people and their right to hold different beliefs.
In Key Stage 2 pupils will develop their knowledge and understanding further by learning the historical context of various religious beliefs and what it means to belong to a community.
